Imagine meeting an 87-year-old woman named Shuxian. For 30 years, she had been a devoted Buddhist nun, seeking peace and trying to find her way to salvation.
Would you tell her about Jesus?
One of our ministry leaders, WinBo, did.
He shared his own testimony with Shuxian and told her, “Everything changed when someone shared the Gospel with me.”
Those words opened the door for Shuxian to hear about Jesus. She was given a Bible and began reading it in secret.
Later, Shuxian shared what happened next: “When I heard God’s message, something shifted inside me. The more I read, the more I realized that I could not earn salvation on my own. The overwhelming love and grace I encountered in Jesus Christ convinced me that He is the true Savior.”
At 87 years old, after three decades as a Buddhist nun, Shuxian placed her faith in Jesus Christ. She left her former life behind and was baptized.
